So, in case you haven't figured it out by checking my favorites, I am a huge fan of the show Supernatural. In addition, I am a huge fan of slash fiction. My favorite genre/pairing is Jensen Ackles/Jared Padalecki aka Padackles. In a lot of these stories they feature their friends. One in particular is Jared's pal, Chad Michael Murray.
The Chadster is usually depicted as a devoted friend but still kind of a douche who is a bit of a sleaze. I love the little slime ball! I have no idea if CMM is anything like that in real life but he is hilarious in fiction. So I was directed to check out a webcomic called Sinfest by the crazy talented and sweet Kamidiox. I started reading it and one of the primary players was so like the fictional Chad Michael it wasn't funny. So, if you're a big a fan of hi douchiness as I am, by all means check it out.

Just To Be Clear
Okay... So I received a rather nasty little note regarding a picture I posted. It was a basic manipulation where the artist took Jensen Ackles' head and put it on some beefy guy in leather drag. It was done rather well and was quite hot. I came across it on the net and didn't see a credit given so I posted it. I included in the caption to go with it that it was emphatically not my work. I took no credit for it whatsoever. I went on to say that I hoped the artist would contact me so that I could give them kudos and generally congratulate them on such a fine work.
Instead I get bitched out by said artist, called an art thief and got repo
Happy Birthday!
It is Jensen Ackles' birthday today! I wish him many happy returns of the day! The man has such amazing talent and puts so much of himself into every project he does. Just an amazing actor and director. Let's all raise a glass wherever we are and toast: To J.R., good luck in all your future endeavors!"
Adventures In Commissioning
Okay so I am a huge table top RPG nerd with thespian tendencies. Now thats out of the way, I have a new game starting up and I have a character that I am really, really excited about. So much so that I wanted a picture that represented him best. Two artists here on DA both requested commissions and so I signed up with the one who has done a lot of professional work (book covers, etc). I contacted them, ready to pay their several hundred dollar fee and was told it could be a month or longer before they could get to my sketch. The game is coming up sooner than that so I declined, maybe some other time. What I got back was an angry reply.
ACTA = Evil
So, I wanted to know more about ACTA and why Anonymous was losing it's collective shit over it. This is snipped from the online magazine "techdirt" by the author Mike Masnick:
----------------- Snip ---------------------------
So why is ACTA problematic?
While it probably does not change US law (with some possible exceptions, especially in the realm of patents), it certainly does function to lock in US law, in a rapidly changing area of law, where specifics are far from settled. Supporters of ACTA continue to insist that not only does it not change US law, but that it cannot change US law, since it's an "executive agreement" rather than a
